Harpseals.org Videos and Radio Commercials
Harpseals.org has short videos in several formats, including 30 second television commercials. We air these commercials as often as possible and in as many cities as our budget allows. We usually air them on cable stations like Animal Planet, Discovery, and CNN Headline News. If you would like to sponsor TV commercials, please contact us. The minimum donation to air commercials in your town is $2,000; however, you can make a donation in any amount, and we will put it toward our next run somewhere in the U.S.
In addition to our TV commercials, we have a short flash video that gives background information on the seal hunt as well as information on the Canadian seafood boycott. This poignant video can be sent to your contacts with the link below.
We also have short videos that you can download and send to friends or just link to. These videos say a lot in just a few minutes. They do have graphic violence...but that is the nature of the seal hunt.
Below, we also provide radio commercials. You can download the files and email them to your local radio stations (including college radio stations). Many stations are willing to air them as Public Service Announcements (PSA's). If they agree to air the commercials as PSA's, they will generally be played in a rotation with many others. Thus the best way to ensure that they are broadcast when there are many listeners is to purchase air time. If you would like to sponsor radio commercials, please contact us. A typical radio commercial costs $50 to $150 and several must be purchased at once.
TV Commercials and Short Videos
Harpseals.org has made several videos that have been aired as TV commercials in the U.S. and Canada as well as used in ads on Facebook. Our videos have helped to educate millions of people in North America.
Please donate to help us spread this message far and wide.
Feel free to share these videos on Facebook and other social media sites. You may also embed them on your websites. If you work at a TV station (including a college or public access station) and would like to air these commercials as PSA's, contact us for broadcast quality media.

Flash banner ads
We produced two flash banner ads, which you can view here...
Flash is now a deprecated technology, but you may still be able to watch these videos.
"Choice" Flash Video
This flash video promotes the Canadian seafood boycott and exposes the suffering of the harp seals without much graphic material. Send this one to anyone who needs to know what is going on and how to help but can't handle seeing violent acts against animals.
View the flash/video banner ads that we have displayed on websites nationwide by clicking here or on the image below.
Radio Commercials
Note: these radio commercials are now outdated. The text version below has been updated. If you would like to sponsor radio commercials, you can simply provide text and let the radio station's announcers read it.
Harpseals.org has three 30-second radio spots, two 60-second radio spots, and one 10-section radio spot. Some are aif files, which have right and left speaker files separately. The others are mp3 files. There is only one mp3 file per commercial.
We are grateful to Dr. Alvaro Bertrand, Faculty at Miami International University of Art and Design, for donating hours of his time as well as his skills in recording and mixing these aif spots for Harpseals.org and to Synthian Sharp for the background music.
We thank Stephen Best, author, film producer, founder of Environment Voters and Animal Alliance Canada, for recording and mixing the mp3 spots for Harpseals.org.
Download the files by right-clicking and selecting "Save link as" or "Save target as."
Many radio stations have their own announcers read the text of commercials. As an alternative, we provide a few versions of 30 and 60 second spots.
Please contact your local radio stations and ask them to read these spots on the air.

DID YOU KNOW THAT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF HARP SEAL PUPS ARE KILLED EVERY YEAR IN CANADA, JUST FOR THEIR FUR? THIS IS THE LARGEST OR SECOND LARGEST MARINE MAMMAL SLAUGHTER IN THE WORLD.
BUT WE CAN STOP ALL THIS NEEDLESS SUFFERING.
THESE SEALERS ARE OFF-SEASON CANADIAN FISHERMEN. THIS SEAL HUNT CONTINUES EACH YEAR BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORT OF THE CANADIAN FISHING INDUSTRY. THAT'S WHY WE ARE BOYCOTTING CANADIAN SEAFOOD.
AMERICANS BUY THE MAJORITY OF CANADA'S SEAFOOD EXPORTS - A THOUSAND TIMES THE VALUE OF ALL THE SEALS' FUR. SO WE HAVE THE POWER TO STOP THE SEAL HUNT.
PLEASE JOIN THE CANADIAN SEAFOOD BOYCOTT AND AVOID SEAFOOD WITH "PRODUCT OF CANADA" LABELS IN STORES. PLEASE ASK YOUR WAITER WHERE THE SEAFOOD IS FROM WHEN DINING OUT.
