Harpseals.org at the Roots & Shoots event in Los Angeles
On September 30th, 2006, Harpseals.org was invited by the Jane Goodall Institute to participate in their Root & Shoots-Day of Peace Festival in Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

Under clear blue skies, Harpseals.org volunteers set up a booth at this prestigious event to continue our public awareness campaign; and the response we received from the people in attendance was tremendous. During the festival, Jane Goodall gave an inspirational speech and as a highlight for Harpseals.org, it was a great honor to meet with Dr. Jane Goodall and discuss our campaign to protect the harp seals.
Sea Shepherd Board Member, Persia White, was there to represent Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and to lend a hand to Harpseals.org at our booth. Persia presented Jane Goodall with a copy of "Ocean Warrior" written and signed by Sea Shepherd founder, Paul Watson.

Jane Goodall founded the Roots & Shoots program to inspire children around the world to get involved to "promote care and concern for animals, the environment and the human community" and Harpseals.org was very proud to be a part of this wonderful event.

We met some of the great people at the Jane Goodall Institute and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
