As a Costco shopper, an environmentalist, and a compassionate individual, I urge you to join the Canadian seafood boycott and stop selling seal oil capsules in Canada. The boycott will help end the massacre of baby harp seals that takes place each year in Canada. The Canadian fishing industry promotes the seal slaughter, and several thousand fishermen participate in it each year. By boycotting all Canadian seafood and removing seal oil capsules from the shelves, Costco will show Americans that it cares about the plight of these defenseless seals, that it is concerned about the Canadian mismanagement of the ocean ecosystem, and that it is a good corporate citizen. Please do not delay. This massacre must end.
